Membership

The term Member is define as "Any child, teenager or adult who avails of any or all of the programmes, activities, services or facilities provided or organised by Children's Group Link, Waterford."

Membership consists of two categories:

• Those who attend the group on a daily or weekly basis and participate in regular and various activities. These members are listed on a roll as active, full members and pay a nominal weekly subscription. 
• Those who attend the group on specified days only or for special programmes or activities. They are referred to as associate members.

Age groups consists of two categories:

• 7 - 12 years 
• 13 years - Over Group Link welcomes children, young people and adults. 

Priority is given to those aged between seven and twelve years because a greater level of success is achieved with children who are within our group from an early age. 

Training and Development

When members reach the age of sixteen, most are offered an opportunity to remain within the organisation and commence training for volunteerism. These individuals assume more responsibility and help with the organising and supervision of programmes and activities. This group will also undertake community projects on behalf of the organisation. More than sixty per cent of the current volunteers are former Training & Development members.
